for State Representative
A compassionate conservative
I am excited to announce that I am running for the office of State Representative for the town of Fairfax in the November 4th election. I firmly believe that I am prepared to go to the Statehouse and bring a dialogue to the important issues facing our great state today. I will provide that dialogue by being compassionate, but as always, conservative.
Having served for four years on the Fairfax Selectboard, two years as Vice-Chair, it has been my pleasure to tackle the issues you have faced on a local level and to work on the Fairfax Town Budget. Now, I am ready to represent you on a state level.
If elected as your State Representative, I will continue to serve as the Vice-Chair of the Fairfax Selectboard, like several other representatives serving their town's selectboards. I would continue to serve on the Board of Civil Authority in Fairfax as I have for six years, two as Vice-Chair. I have married dozens of Fairfax residents as a Justice of the Peace.
I am Fairfax's Americans with Disabilities Act Officer. I am the Fairfax liason to the Community Library.
I enrolled Fairfax's town employees into the Vermont Health Connect program, a process that took days to navigate.
I served on the boards of Franklin Grand Isle Habitat for Humanity, the Fairfax Business and Professional Association and more.
I have coached our youth football, baseball and soccer teams. I was asked by Lee Minor to become the editor of the Fairfax News one week after 9/11 and worked my way up to ownership. I have supported fundraisers for our town organizations, churches, students and athletes through the Fairfax News.
I have worked on the emergency plans for Fairfax and worked with the Red Cross to open up the gym during our recent ice-storm. I work continuously with our local law enforcement agencies to keep our community safe.
"The people of Fairfax can count on Chris to fight for lower taxes, good jobs and safer communities".
"Chris Santee is exactly the kind of State Representative we need in Montpelier to build a bright, prosperous future for Vermont".
